stories of Powerstock and surrounding areas

Whilst browsing for books on Dorset, I discovered a delightful site.  There are little local history books which are no longer in print but can be read on this site.  They are written by Harry Poole and contain a wealth of info with names etc. in particular Powerstock but other villages are mentioned.  e.g. 1883 Fred Hansford, flogged at school for bullying.  Charles Riglar named as the laziest boy in school.  1890 Fanny Hansford sent home for disobedience and impertinence.  All great stuff.  Nothing changes.  Go to www.dorsetbooks.com
