Montrose Parish Church
Montrose Episcopal
Montrose Rosehill
Montrose Howff of Kinnaber

are given in Alison Mitchell's Angus MI inscriptions Vol. 2

What surnames do you have?

There's just one entry for Aberdein, (but lots for Watt and Wood).

The Aberdein stone is square, and in an "enclosure":

Wm Aberdein merchant 1743-1810
his wife Christian Stephen 1741-1824
their children, Jean 1770-1812; then two infant deaths -  Robert (1772) and Alexander (1774); William, 1775-1795; Francis Cavendish 1781-1838

Then on the East side:

John Aberdein merchant 1779-1838
his wife Jane Renny 1787-1852
daughter Anne Grace 1825-1858

South side:

Mary Henderson 1815-1843; William 1818-1827; Henry 1821-1822; John 1821-1843; Helen Hope 1823-1829; David July 1829- September 1829; James 1832-1833

[The fourth side, I take it, must be blank]

The entry has more detail on dates and places of death which I could send by p.m., if this is your family.

Hopefully, some of your Watt and Wood families had unusual Christian names or destinations that can help narrow the search ?

The Aberdein family isnt mineand I can see the problem with Watt and Wood since these are very common names. All of the forenames are traditional as well but I do have Daniel Watt which less common I think

Thanks

Sorry, I can't see a Daniel Watt at all in volume two.  There is one other Aberdein, however, at Arbroath Abbey - Isabella, who dies in 1829 age 72, the wife of Thomas Mackay , merchant -  children Thomas, drowned at sea, John, Rachel, Cath, two Davids, one dying in infancy and the other a watchmaker, and William, a flaxspinner, together with his daughter, Christina Jane.
