Hi,

I'm not saying it's THE best deal out there, but I've just registered my domain with Godaddy.

http://www.godaddy.com/default.aspx

Domain registration just £12.40 for two years. You don't have to be hosted by them.

What's more (and I've not noticed these in other domain name registration sites) was the existence of .me and .me.uk extensions. So (when I've got my Linux machine up and running again) the address of my genealogy website will be www.timsilver.me.uk hosted by AncestryHost but still looking like my domain.
