Hi!  Just joined. Good to see another useful page.
Can anyone help?
I have an ancestor born 1734, James Bannister, in Burton on Trent and I have been trying to get back another generation for what seems like years.  I have run out of places to look and ideas.
His father's name is Johannis Bannister but there is not one in B.O.T.
There are two people by that name in nearby Birmingham but would be guessing.
Any ideas?
