1851 Census Index Luton

All Youngs at Folio 702

Cornelia Young 64 bn Luton
Elizabeth Young 35 bn Luton
Matthew Young 32 bn Luton
Matthew Young 6 bn Luton
William Young 4 bn Luton

Can confirm the following
Luton St Mary's Parish Registers (printed transcripts)

1803 Apr 26 William Young = Cornelia Hooker (no other information)

Baptisms

1805 Nov 3 William son of William & Amelia Young
1807 Oct 25 Richard son of William & Cornelia Young
1810 Feb 11 Thomas son of William & Cornelia Young
1812 Dec 9 Mary dau of William & Cornelia Young

Microfiche

1815 May 28 Amos son of William & Cornelia Young of Luton Sawyer
1819 Oct 8 Matthew son of William & Cornelia Young of Luton Labourer
1823 May 9 Sarah dau of William & Cornelia Young of Luton Labourer

Also found the following 1842-1847 (looking for someone else but noted the names in case they were yours.)

1842 Sep 11 Caroline dau of Amos & Elizabeth Young of Luton Brick - Maker of Luton
1842 Sep 11 Amos son of Amos & Elizabeth Young
of Luton Brick - Maker of Luton
(same date different lines)

1844 Nov 20 John son of Matthew & Elizabeth Young of Luton Labourer

1842 Jul 28 Asa son of William & Frances Young
1844 Apr 28 James Alfred Young son of William & Frances Young
1847 Dec 25 Arthur son of William & Frances Young
All above of Luton, labourer

With the absence of other Williams baptising children at the time of the earlier batisms I think it highly likely that the William son of William & Amelia is the one that you seek. The registrar obviously put Amelia instead of Cornelia.
