Beginner looking for some help
« on: Sunday 02 November 08 16:51 UTC (UK) »

Am looking for any information on my grandmother.  Her name was Helen Bruce or Forbes and she was a domestic servant at Mains of Kair Fordoun in 1933.  On my fathers birth certificate she was described as 'Helen Bruce (formerly Forbes), Domestic Servant, (domicil Mains of Kair, Fordoun)', a description I find rather unusual, but can anyone help?  My father is John Stott Bruce born 06/11/33. His birth certificate states he was born at Woodend Hospital Aberdeen which seems strange if my grandmother was living in Fordoun at the time.  Thanks Denise

I have moved the other thread to this board and will lock this thread as it will avoid confusion by having persons repeating information that has already been posted on the other thread Wink http://www.rootschat.com/forum/index.php/topic,338563.0.html
