Greetings,
I am currently trying to find further information about the Chidwick family of Chalfont St. Peter.
What I currently have is the following:
Thomas Chidwick, born about 1835, Chalfont St. Peter, died March Quarter 1898, Paddington Registration District - married Mary Jane Boxall on 19 February 1854 at St. James' Church, Paddington
He was the son of:
Thomas Chidwick and Mary.
I am presuming this Thomas Chidwick is the one christened on 3 March 1794, at Gold Hill Independent or Particular Baptist, Chalfont St. Peter and therefore the son of Benjamin Chidwick and Elizabeth (presumably Elizabeth Bell, who married Benjamin Chidwick on 14 August 1780, Chalfont St. Peter). Does anyone have a record for a marriage for Thomas and Mary Chidwick?
Here my line goes cold because I do not have access to earlier records.
This family are later known as Chadwick, just to confuse matters. For ages I thought my 2nd Great Grandfather, Benjamin Alfred Chidwick had the surname Chadwick, until I found by chance a reference to Chidwick. We have always known my Great Grandmother as Annie Chadwick as well.
I note there is also a Chidwick family in Kent, does anyone know if this family is related to the Buckinghamshire Chidwicks?
Any further information about this family would be much appreciated.

Also on the 1841 census page I just looked, at Thomas Chidwick shoemaker and Mary his wife are living with their family next door but one to Benjamin Chidwick in Chalfont St Peter plus a Sarah Chidwick and family are next door to Thomas. Have you got these details or shall I post them?
