Hi

Have you checked for Daniel's re-marriage to Bridget between 1897 - 1901?

According to Emerald Ancestors, there was a marriage in 1898 in Co Tyrone between Daniel Madden and a lady called Bridget.

That's all the detail it gives on a free search.

As far as I can tell, Emerald Ancestors use Ancestry for their source.

Can that be checked?

Failing that, perhaps you could put a post on the Irish Board for a look-up via Emerald Ancestors?

Hi Carole and Dave

I have put a post on the Irish board re the marriage of Daniel and Bridget in 1898.

On Emerald Ancestors there are 4  deaths for Daniel Maddens rangeing from 1903 to 1916.  I will ask about these if I get a reply about the marriage.  I can find no other deaths in Scotland or England.

If one of these is my Daniel he must have been making regular trips to Ireland if he married there in 1898, moved back to Glasgow (1901 census) then died in Ireland!
