SWEENEY & FOX in Limerick

PATRICK SWEENEY, (my great great grand father)born 1786 in Cappamore townland; Doon Civil Parish; Catholic Parish of Cashel & Emly, County of Limerick ... wife:  KATHERINE FOX  and sons:   THOMAS (my great grand father)  and PATRICK, JR.    Apparently his wife Katherine died and Patrick came to Quebec with 2 sons Thomas and Patrick, Jr. about 1829.   1835, he remarried Jane Anna Spellman and had 13 children with her. 1839, Patrick & family moved to Clinton Cty, Clinton, New York.  He's buried in St. Patrick's cemetery in Chatequgay, NY. He died at the age of 97 in 1883.

Patrick Sweeney, Jr was my gggrandfather.  I have lots of information about descendants here in USA  and am willing to share, but need more info on Patrick Sr's (b. 1786) wife, Katherine Fox.  I have sources that say his wife was Alice Fox, Bridget Fox, but haven't been able to trace either of them. Can you help with Katherine? Thanks

HI... we could be cousins..  Actually Patrick Sweeney, Sr. is my great great great grandfather...and his son Thomas Sweeney is my great great grandfather.  Thomas Sweeney married Mary O'Meara...and their daughter Nellie Sweeney is my great grandmother who married William Michael Scott.
I was wondering too if Katherine Fox could have been Alice Fox. My newly found cousin as of a few years ago inupper New York, (she's a descendant off of Patrick Sweeney, Sr and his 2nd wife  Jane Anna Spellman)...gave me the information on Patrick Sweeney Sr and his sons.   She too thought it might have been Alice Fox.   Otherwise I don't know anything about her.
I have my genealogy all on the Family Tree Maker program..so if you would like, I could send you in PDF format the whole Sweeney clan, including notes, marriages, families, just about everything. Just let me know.. and I would love to learn more about the Fox family too.. so let's stay in touch, Kathy
Patrick Sweeney, Jr is buried in St. Patrick's cemetery in Hinchinbrooke, Huntingdon county, Quebec with wife Ellen Duffin. I just learned more of this this last year and will share all the information.   Kathy
