I edited my profile to put a person on the "no pms" list & when I logged on today, that person was no longer on that list 
Did I do it wrong? Was there a system problem? or it is possible that someone other than myself can change my profile.
Then again - it is called an "ignore list" Maybe I misunderstand - I assume if someone is on my "ignore" list, they cannot send me a pm - is this correct?

dunno Trish - I just tried on mine, and your name stayed there after I bumbled off and looked at summat else, it was still there.... it doesnt need a password or owt, so it cant be that the change was ignored ?

As a test I've just put Newf, Trish251 and Berlin-Bob on my blocked (Ignore) list.
Could each of you please try sending a test message to me to see what/whether it works!

The concept Personal Message means just that - personal, and private.
You may wish to quote your personal and private words in a public forum but the person you originally
wrote to may not like the thought that what was presumed private is now being made public,
even if it is only one side of the conversation.
Either we can all send Personal (private) Messages with the assurance that they
will not be quoted elsewhere, or we can simply forget the whole concept of a PM system.
The only exception to this is that PMs to moderators may need to be discussed by the moderator team.
