Hi All

Can any one find a christening or birth record for a William Matthews please?

I have that he was born in 1774, his mother was called Ann Matthews and when she had his brother, John in 1755 she was not married. Both the boys were brought up with the Matthews surname so I would assume she never married.

John was born in Ditchling, Sussex but Ann was a travelling woman so William could have been born anywhere in the south.

Thats all I have on Ann as well, does anyone have any ideas how I can trace her birth record too as its stopping me going back any further on my tree.
