In 1911 Phoebe James is registered in the census at home with Arthur (albert) James and Ocean Draper.
Also, in 1911 Phoebe is shown living with Henry Scott flower hawker. So she has been regitered in both homes!

Again, in 1911  there are a family of Scotts living in a caravan not far away near colliers wood – Frederick head, Jemima wife – children Lovey Charlie Samuel Jemima Mary. All flower hawkers.

I think that I have other earlier census info for the Scotts which I will dig out and send later.

I have Ocean and Arther (Alfred) in 1901 cens.
Also, what I believe is Alfred in 1891 census with a lot of James’s. I am not sure if he is the son of John James in this census although it says he is. Camping next to them is a Family of the name of Pateman – I have had reliable information that this is Golias Doe and Mary Draper with Syberina Draper and one other sister.

When I get your email i will send you the documents if you haven't already got them

Regards,

Jim

Problem with the internet connection. Think it might be to do with my mail's server.
So I hosted them on tinypic instead:

I'll still try to email you later though.

Thanks,

I have had a look at the certificates and it does look like Phoebes father is the one I have in 1891 census with John James as head of the family.

So it looks more likely that my great grand father Joseph James is related to Albert James (maybe brothers) and they lived in the same road.

I have a lot to send you on email when it's working again.

I think there are other family ties to the Jameses in mitcham at the same time - Robert and Louisa plus John and Minnie James.

This is relly good - I think both John and Minnie and Robert and Louisa lived in Seaton road in 1911 - and this is the road where Harry and Phoebe lived!!!!

I think Minnie was the daughter of Samuel Collins and Amy Ayres.
