MOSS and ARCHER early 1800s
« on: Sunday 05 July 09 16:49 UTC (UK) »

I'm still trying to track down a marriage and a couple of births that I think probably were in Buckinghamshire. Sad

I have Joseph Moss born about 1796 in Greenhithe, Kent. He married a Sarah Archer, b abt 1802 in Buckinghamshire. Their first child William was born abt 1834 in Stony Stratford.

I'm struggling to find Sarah's birth, William's birth and the marriage (if indeed it was in Bucks because by the 1841 census the family is in Leicester).

I have tried all the IGI lists for the right time in Bucks without luck but notice that the main PRs for Stony Stratford are not listed.

Can someone with local knowledge point me in the direction of where people in Stony Stratford would have worshipped in the early 1800s and where those records would be kept? I'm assuming C of E because later on other members of the extended family are in C of E registers in Leicester.

Any help would be great.
Many thanks,
Christmassy
