Hi there

Thank you for that very warm welcome Bob and JDGen

I was in Macclesfield two weeks ago for the first time in many years (staying in a chalet at New Mills in the Peak District) so it really feels as though I am home as my ancestors lived there from about 1690 upto 1910 or thereabouts.

Jean, you seem to be a very regular contributor to the cheshire boards so I am very pleased and happy for such a warm welcome from you

I hope we can work together

Welcome back Chris.
I joined RC in 2004 and there were only a handful of us on the Cheshire board then including the lovely and much missed Peter Bennett, whose anniversary is next month.

Drove through New Mills yesterday on the Way to Poynton from Lincolnshire.  I am a Cheshire girl born and bred, but now live in Lincs, but travel back and forth to Cheshire regularly to visit the family.

Hope you feel at home again on the Cheshire board.

love

Chris, welcome, i hope you do'nt get sent to the salt mines, not quite sure about Cheshire being a Yorky, but it cost me 7/6 for a marriage licence, ( i know i could have had a dog one for the same money) 45 years ago, and i am still getting value from it, so maybe Cheshire is'nt too bad.
Wishing you well in the future, Bodger

Brilliant news Jean,

Every time I pester you for a marriage look up I marvel at your patience.
I’ve been thinking for ages what a great moderator you would be.

Best wishes,
Pat
