Hi Sandra,

You could try charity shops or second-hand book dealers; just have a "google".   Try the ones that specialise in books about Cheshire.

Good luck,

Hi Sandra 46 suggest contacting publisher asap as it's possible that the book may be available from the publisher?

ISBN 0906759668 / 9780906759660 / 0-906759-66-8

Publisher Cheshire County Council, Tourism & Marketing Unit

Edition Softcover

Doesn't appear to be any copies in the usual places.

Happy Hunting

Hi Sandra
Have you seen this site http://www.cheshiremagazine.com/Archives/hank.html

It has a piece about the murder.

If you go on to http://www.cc-publishing.co.uk they might be able to help.

Also just Google the murder of George Morrey and quite a few sites come up that might be helpful.

Kind regards

Sandra,

The majority of second-hand book dealers now operate via the internet.

Perhaps the family history society of Cheshire  www.fhsc.org.uk  will have a spare copy or will advertise your request in their journal.

Sandra
If you Google just Edith Morrey then click on the site
The Edinburgh annual register-google books result 1814
they give a full account of the murder and John Lomas and Edith Morrey's account of what happened.  Very grusome reading I must say.

There are also many sites involving Edith Morrey worth looking at.

Kind regards
