Hi
I have just joined this site and noted your queries re the Chapmans. I have another line which originated from Richard Chapman (and beyond, I have his bible)) b 1800 Horncastle Lincolnshire. His son Joseph b1825 (my gtx2 grandfather) worked with horses and came over to Burton Pidsea abt 1845 and created a branch moving on to Hull abt 1865. Joseph was a carter, one of his daughters married into the Dibb family and my gt grandfather George Henry was Supt of Hull CID. The male line now seems to be lost though although his daughters had very interesting lives. Would be grateful if anybody can contribute any more
