Pre 1858 East Kent

Pre 1858 there were two probate courts (Archdeaconry & Consistory Courts of Canterbury) covering East Kent plus the National Prerogative Court of Canterbury and these are now indexed online :

Pre 1858 West Kent

Pre 1858 the probate courts covering West Kent were Archdeaconry Court of Rochester, Consistory Court of Rochester, Deanery of Shoreham, Peculiar of Cliffe plus the National Prerogative Court of Canterbury

Post 1846 wills for Charlton, Deptford, Eltham, Greenwich, Lee, Lewisham Plumstead & Woolwich came under the Consistory Court of London



Post 1858 all Kent

Post 1858 wills are proved and indexed nationally
