Toon/Baker Marriage Oakham

I am brand new at this so please forgive me any gaffes.  I have found a marriage on the IGI which interests me however it is a member submitted entry so needs double checking, especially the year as it is before Lady Day pre Gregorian calendar.  Thomas Toon Mary Baker 19 Mar 1723. Very grateful for any help.

Hi and welcome to rootschat.
I am sorry you have not had a reply so far and I am not going to be much help as I do not know this area very well.   Are you anywhere near an LDS centre?   They are worldwide and listed on familysearch.  You can order the films of most parish records to search there for a small fee.
Looking at the baptism of Thomas Toon in 1724 - which is an extracted record - it does seem as if he is a child of that couple.  There is another in 1733 though so maybe the first one died?    Clicking on the batch number and just putting Toon in the new search box brings up various others who may be connected somehow.  I expect you have done that.

Thanks for your reply.  My ancester was I believe the Thomas Toon born 1733.  I wanted a look up on the marriage because I have seen another transcription which records the bride as Sarah Baker.  I think I will just have to pay another visit to the Leicester records office.  Regards Debbie
