Please also see my post "Flett family in Wick" http://www.rootschat.com/links/04vf/
I have birth of Diana Steven in Wick on 17 Dec 1789 (from SP). Her parents are: George Steven and Elizabeth Miller.
I also have her marriage to Henry/Harry Flett and details of 10 children.
Can anyone find their births, marriage or deaths. Also looking for siblings of Diana.
I'm getting nowhere at the moment.
Thanks for any help you can give on either thread.
Dave

Hi Dave
There are two siblings showing for Diana:
1. ELIZABETH STEVEN Christening: 14 DEC 1784 Wick 2. DAVID STEVEN Christening: 23 JUN 1787 Wick
Parents marriage shows on 27 JAN 1769 in Wick, so missing a good number of children for them.
Monica
Added: there are 11 children showing for them on SP, looks like you might be missing one

Lots and lots of links here Dave relating to the family:
www.fortunecity.com/millenium/byker/26/newfiles/per00141.htm - looks promising this one  http://genforum.genealogy.com/cgi-bin/pageload.cgi?Elizabeth,Miller,and,George,Steven,Wick,Scotland::miller::26275.html http://genforum.genealogy.com/cgi-bin/print.cgi?flett::294.html www.parliament.nsw.gov.au/prod/parlment/members.nsf/0/c5c28787587125c6ca256e2b0004de68 - includes a photo of eldest son Henry http://wc.rootsweb.ancestry.com/cgi-bin/igm.cgi?op=AHN&db=mukwaman&id=I201 - daughter Ann's decendants, and... http://forum.caithness.org/showthread.php?t=41006
This might help in respect of marriages for children of Henry and Diana:

Dave
Going by naming pattern for Henry and Diana's children:
1810 - Henry (Harry) Flett - Henry's father? 1811 - George Flett - Diana's father 1813 - Elizabeth Flett - Diana's mother 1814 - Catherine Flett - Henry's mother? 1816 - Diana Flett 1818 - David Flett 1819 - William Flett 25 Dec 1820 - Isobella Greissell Flett 22 Oct 1822 - Christian Flett 22 Oct 1822 - Margaret Flett 18 Sep 1824 - Anne Flett
You have Henry born. c. 1781. There is one possible set of parents:
HENRY FLETT and KATHRINE MILLER - Marriage: 23 NOV 1762 in Wick. Children showing to them on IGI (mixture of submitted and actual extract):
1. MARGARET FLETT Christening: 01 JAN 1764 Wick 2. DAVID FLET Christening: 08 JUN 1766 Wick 3. GRACE FLEAT Christening: 03 NOV 1768 Wick 4. WILLIAM FLETT Christening: 31 MAY 1771 Wick 5. ISOBEL OR ELIZABETH FLET Christening: 06 AUG 1777 Wick
Monica
Dohh Just realised that the above parents are as showing on one of the links I gave earlier www.fortunecity.com/millenium/byker/26/newfiles/per00138.htm#0
At least we came to same conclusion

Thanks Monica, I haven't had much of a chance to log in today until an hour or so ago so I apologise for not replying sooner. I've been catching up on emails.
Since last night I have had so many replies to 2 of 3 posts I made, I'm going to bogged down for a while recording it all.
It's brilliant being on the receiving end of information. I haven't had any major results for a while. In the last couple of days I've made a fair bit of progress.
Dave
Incidentally, I forgot to mention on this thread that Diana was called Stiven at the birth of a number of her children.
