Calbreath/Galbreath/Cubreth conundrum
« on: Friday 21 November 08 00:25 GMT (UK) »

Any help please  Huh

John Alexander and Janet Calbreath married 25 Aug 1735.
On searching for children of this couple have come up with a puzzle.  Three children to John Alexander and Janet Galbreath, two children the same except mothers name Janet Calbreath and three children John A and Janet Cubreth..all born in Clackmannan.  Could the Janet Galbreath/Calbreath/Cubreth be one and the same person.
The search was done mixture of IGI and SP.
Nor can I find any birth of a Janet C.....in any of those names.
Where do I go from here..any help appreciated.

Hi Pat

I would say that Galbreath/Calbreath/Cubreth are all variants of the same. Certainly sounds like the same mother. As you say, as for her birth, any of these spellings (or more  Roll Eyes) that you may find, specially the further back you go.
