researching in Brazil
« on: Saturday 22 November 08 07:44 UTC (UK) »

Was wondering if anyone could give me some hints on researching in Brazil.
Awaiting marriage certificate in Australia in the hope it has  further details regarding this person's parents & perhaps a town or something more general than just "Brazil".  I do have his full name & a birth date in 1908 and wondered if records were available & how hard they are to obtain; or how expensive!

thank you
regards

Hi Brenda,
I've never done any research that involved Brazil, but I found this site for you:
http://www.cyndislist.com/hispanic.htm
It looks as if there is a bit of information on site, to do with genealogy in Brazil, and other places, too. You never know, the search might lead you to other interesting places!
Hope this helps,

Thank You Paulene

It's a good place to start as you say, it could lead to bigger things.
