I would appriciate if anyone can help me tracing my relatives my great grandfather was John Thomas Knowles he was believed to have been born in cradley heath in 1889. he married janette who was also born in 1889 they had 7 children alice(my grandmother) sam, selina, freda, francis,dorethy and may. this is all i know about them. any info about them there parents,address's etc would be appriciated.

It is tricky isn't it?
You probably know this, but while Netherton is Worcestershire, Cradley Heath is Staffordshire so that just makes it trickier.
Jenette is easy enough because she is in the 1901 census but I can't see John Thomas there.
Do you have a sibling´s name perhaps? That might help.
Or you could buy the wedding certificate for John and Jenette and that should tell you John's father's name and occupation, then you could search for him in the census. From http://freebmd.rootsweb.com/cgi/search.pl

You could look on the http://www.1837online.com/Trace2web/ site to find John's birth, there is a fee for that and if you aren't totally certain of the birth place it could be difficult.
