I don't think I am repeating myself here but I may be overlapping a previous thread. However, there is another question I wonder if someone could answer.
I clicked on Boongie Pams' link to Dumfries and Galloway 1851 Census. I had previously been directed to William Marshall and Agnes in Mochrum. However, here is a Mary Marshall grand-daughter of William aged 22, occupation Seemstress, Household No. 2/35.
I have tried to find out which son of William Marshall is this Mary's father but cannot pin him down. Can anyone give me any suggestions please?

Hello Judy & Carol, I don't know if either/both of you are interested, I've been sorting through the old photos that I have, and I've found two or three of David and Rosanna (martin) Marshall & and a daughter Kate,if you are interested I'll email them to you both, they have been authenticated some years ago to me by their last surviving son William I'm also sending copies to Keith. Oooooh, yes please, Alex. I am trying to collect all pics of these Marshalls to see if there are any family likenesses anywhere! Have any of you got the tinker's cross on the palm of you hand as one of the William Marshall's had in Andrew McCormick's Book on The Galloway Tinkers?

Marshall it`s a great family
Carol I saw the picture of Robert Marshall and his nephew James you put on , the older robert looks so much like my grandfather , may i aslo ask where you fit in the family tree please.
