Can you recommend a free cd burner ?
« on: Wednesday 26 November 08 20:12 UTC (UK) »

Does anyone have a free downloaded cd burner? Does it work? I need a recommendation, please. I am wary of free downloads - last time I did that I let in a load of viruses.

I think Roxio Creator Basic is a freebie. You can pay to unlock all the bells and whistles and make it a deluxe version I think.

Someone else may have some suggestions.

Caroline, I don't mean to be rude, but I think you should concentrate on getting a good virus checker  Smiley

Otherwise all downloads will leave your PC vulnerable to attack.

Agree that CD Burner XP Pro is very satisfactory- have used it for years with no trouble at all.

Very relevent - I had many viruses, though I am careful about downloads usually.
I have had  the problem sorted by a kindly computer man.
