George Mcadam was my 3 times GreatGrandfather and lived in the Buittle area .He was born in 1776 and died in 1858.He was the son of William Mcadam and Elizabeth Thomson.I beleive he had a brother David ,as yet i cannot find anything on David on Scotland on Line even though i have confirmed George"s Birth and Death and his Last Will and Testement.
                                                          George had about 8 or 9 children including a daughter Mary who was my 2 times GreatGrandmother but i think Mary was spelt a little differently to that as i cannot find her either .I beleive she was born about 1816-1820. She married in Darlington in 1843. George was a Principle Customs Officer

                               Any info would be gratefully received.
