Birth Registration for Sarah Jane Pullon

Sarah was born to George Pullon and Anne (McVoy) presumably in Leeds in about 1839. I make that presumption as she has three older siblings christened at St Peters
1841 she's recorded as Sara (2) at 3 Butts Court, Leeds; 1851 she down as Sarah Jane (12) in Summerseat Place, Horton; 1861 same place as Sarah J (22).
She marries John Leach 31/3/1866 calling herself Sarah Jane age 25.
1871 age 31, 1881 age 42, 1891 age 52, 1901 age 62.
Sorry to go on, but I wanted to show that the records are pretty consistent, the only exception being on her marriage. I have checked all of the GRO records and UKBMD Yorkshire for a registration, with no success, unless she was registered as Sarah Ann. Is that possible? I've found a death record for a Sarah Jane Leach age 60 in Q2 1901 in Bradford which is out by two years, but ties in with her marriage. Has anybody got any suggestions, other than spending several squids buying up all of the possible certificates?

It might be worth just getting that one cert - the Sarah Ann birth in Leeds.
I notice that the entry above it is a Mary Ann, also in Leeds - so it is possible the chap woth the curly writing who was carefully copying out these indexes had a bit of a blip and put Ann again instead of Jane.

but other than that the only contender I found in the indexes was a Sarah Jane Pullen in AMJ 1839 in Chippenham area. Does she give birthplace as Leeds on the censuses?

Yes, Leeds, every time!
I saw that entry for Sarah Ann but it's the same on the UKBMD Site, which, as I understood it is written up from the original register rather than the copy sent to the GRO, Or have I got it all wrong? It wouldn't be the first time!

sorry, I dont know what the UK BMD site is!
As far as I know there is only one general index, held in BIG books at the FRC in London (looked through them many a time) which are now scanned and avialble to view online at ancestry and findmypast.

Update

I still haven't found Sarah Jane's birth registration  Huh

Eventually I purchased the birth certificate for Sarah Ann, but the parents are shown as Joseph Pullon and Mary (formerly Morris).

Looks like she wasnt registered then - many didnt bother in the early days of Civil Registrationh.

I wonder if anybody has access to the baptism records for St. Peter for the late 1830s / early 1840s and would check them for me, please?
