i have a marriage cert for my g great grandparents
and my gg grandmother b abt 1875
lists her parents as David Trotter (Ploughman)
and Sarah Trotter nee Dunbar
i can not find there marriage on sp
my g gran's name on cert is maggie jane dunbar i take it she was illigitamate

grandparents married in 1898 at brogue house

so i have been searching 1875-1898 and now pulling my hair out with them

does any one have any idea's of where i could try next

The 1881 census has a Maggie Dunbar aged 5 b Rerrick, Kirkcud'shire living with grandmother Mary Dunbar aged 57 b Balmaghie

No idea if this could be Sarah on the 1881 as birthplace is weird but age is right

Sarah Dunbar 23  b Rhonehouse, Kebton dairymaid working in Selkirk at Oakwood Cottage
Selkirk; ED: 12; Page:  5; Line: 12

Nothing on the 1891 for Maggie or Sarah under Trotter or Dunbar and grandmother Mary is living alone in 1891
