Forester
« on: Friday 05 December 08 03:47 UTC (UK) »

Anthony Forester was born in Lynn, Westmeath in c1804 he married Mary born c1811, his Irish children where Thomas 1831, Bridget 1836, John 1834, James 1832 all born Lynn, Ireland, his English born children where  Mary 1837, Michael 1841 in Lancs. Ann, Leeds 1843, Anthony, Leeds 1845 and Charley 1851.  Anthony senior was a bricklayer’s labourer.

I have nothing else on the family and have googled myself silly, plus checked every site I can find.  I am now really seeking assistance and any help regarding marriages, births, parents etc would be really appreciated.

Even what was happening in Ireland at that time would be helpful as to what would make a family of 6 uproot and move - so any assistance at all would be welcomed.

I apologise if this has been posted before - although I cld not find it - never try to post something just before the boot - lol

Thank you Yor

Civil registration of births, deaths and Catholic marriages in Ireland began 1864 (from 1845 for other marriages) which is too late for the Forester family as they seem to be in England by 1837.
For pre-registration dates you need to search for church records (if they exist).

Thank you for that, going to a bit hard to do that as NZ is a little far away.

Never mind - it was worth a try.  Your response is appreciated.

LDS have microfilmed some church records and it would be worth checking their online catalogue (www.familysearch.org)- if they have the records you need you can order the microfilm from your local LDS library for a small fee to be viewed there.
