Hi, I am interested in tracing Wesley descendents in the Thanet area.  My particularlar line is descended from Timothy Bartholomew Wesley b.1811 who moved to Ramsgate with his brother Samuel b.1800 from Brixham and were fishermen.  There appears to be two different lines of Wesley in Thanet, but they were both involved in fishing and fished from the same boats on occassions.  Please take a look at my site, and if any names ring a bell, please get in touch.

My mother was born in 1926 in Mettmann Germany, her maiden name was Anneliese Weseley, her father came from Czechslowakia his name was Siegmund Weseley (Wesley).  maybe this is worth looking into?  Apparantly the name Wesley is quite rare.  I do know they changed the spelling when they emigagrated to Germany from Weseley to Wesley.
