as a nephew
he was born 1890 st austell he did move to usa found him on ellis island page
1920 in ohio any help please thanks

1891 dad Richard is lodging in London at 34 Weymouth Marylebone aged 29 Married b Cornwall - a groom RG12/93 Folio 44 Page 39

It seems John made several trips

He arrived NY 13 May 1913 aboard the "Majestic" He sailed from Southampton 30 April. He was aged listed as aged 23 years, single, a miner, could read and write, nationality English, last permenant address St Austell, relative - father Mr R Matta, West Hill St Austell. He was travelling to Hancock Michigan

He arrived NY 25 Aug 1824 aboard the "Adriatic" sailing from Liverpool. He was listed as aged 34, married, naturalised 10 Aug 1921 Akron Ohio. US Passport by marriage. Address listed as 551 Bell St Akron Summit Ohio. arrived 13 Jun 1924 aboard the "Majestic" ad in UK Ledrak Rd St Austell occ Rubber Worker. He was 5' 2" had brown eyes and dark hair

Travelling with him was Constance May MATTA aged 8

Passport issued 21 Apr 1924 for himself born 11 Oct 1889 and his daughter Constance May born 30 Sep 1915. His father Richard MATTA residing St Austell. He stated he had emigrated from Southampton about 29 Apr 1913. He was naturalised in Ohio by the court of common pleas. The planned trip was to visit parents. He was described as aged 34 years, 5'5, Medium Forehead, Blue Eyes, Straight Nose, Medium Moth, Pointed Chin, Brown Hair, Medium Complexion, Oval Face, No Distinguishing Marks

WW1 draft registration 1917 - An Alien, lists same dob St Austell, he was employed as a rubber worker at Goodrick R Co Akron Ohio. He was married 1 child

WW2 draft Reg, lists same dob address 551 Bell St Akron aged 52 b "St Autew" person who would always know his address Mrs La Monika 722 Longview Ave Akron. Employer BF Goodrich Co Akron

He lived to a ripe old age dying Akron Summit 25 May 1981 aged 91 years Widow

Further trips arriving NY

3 Feb 1931 aboard the "Aquitania" age 41, Married, occ rubber worker, address 551 Bell St Akron - he had arrived in Plymouth 18 Dec 1930 aboard the "George Washington" address in UK 25 Ledra Rd St Austell

18 Oct 1955 aboard the "Queen Mary" (Elsie was travelling with him on this voyage) address 551 Gell st Akron They had arrived Southampton 15 Aug 1955 aboard the "Queen Mary" ad in UK 106 Palace Gate Rd Alexandra Pk London. John was Retired dob 11 Oct 1889 Elsies dob 12 Apr 1890 (doesnt agree with the other records of her age)

Elsie died 7 Apr 1975 Akron aged 81 years

She was Elsie May FEWINS. She arrived NY 30 Apr 1914 aboard the "Oceanic" from Southampton. She was aged 21 single from St Austell rel Mrs Fewins West Hill St Austell

John and Elsie listed as buried in Akron. Also her brother Ernest

Ernest John FEWINS was born Dec 1/4 1891 St Austell 5c 109

Constance married a La Monika so it is probably her mentioned in the WW2 Reg

Found this by Constance's Son. It appears John had been to South Africa before he emigrated to the US
