Mowats of Fallside
« on: Saturday 06 December 08 20:00 GMT (UK) »

In reading up on the history of the Mowats of Balquholly  I found that a Winwood Mowat became the Laird of Fallside in 1710.

Four of the children born to James Mowat and Christian Lindsay were born at Fallside from 1740 onwards. These are members of my family line.

I am trying to establish what the relationship might have been between Winwood and James or even how James came to be living at Fallside.

Any information no matter how trivial would be welcome.

Many thanks
