The article mentions a Mr Wrench, who was a member of the board, having a meeting with Alexander Morton who owned a textile business in Darvel, Ayrshire at a horse show in Belfast in 1897. As a result of their meeting, the following year, Alexander opened a carpet factory, employing four hundred workers, in Killybegs.
