I'm clutching at straws here but I'm trying to locate a will made by an Andrew Cockle of Woodbridge Suffolk who died in 1817. It existed, as it was mentioned in copyhold records, but it wasn't proved at the PCC or locally in Suffolk or in any of the courts in between those in Norfolk. My only faint hope - if it hasn't simply been lost - is that as the family originally came from the city of Cambridge and possibly still owned land/property there, that for some reason it was proved in Cambridgeshire. Does the city of Cambridge come under the jurisdiction of the court of Ely?

Why not ask Cambridge Records Office if they hold a copy

At that time Cambridge was part of the Archdeaconry of Ely.
