M.I look up request please
Jane Burnside b1859 died 1909 Anwoth. Last found Jane on 1901 census living with her mother and brother in Pencaitland,Jane was single then unsure if she married or if this is my Jane.any info to help clarify much appreciated.

Only 1 Jane Burnside on Scotlands People, died 1909 aged 50 other surnames " McCallum " at Girthon, Kirkudbright. You would get more info from her death cert

Hi again,I had a few credits left so looked it up but it doesnt look like your Jane!
Jane Burnside widow of Alexander Foster Burnside her father was John McCallum gamekeeper and her mother was Ann McCallum nee Brown. sister Margaret McCallum was present
Maybe Alexander the husband is one of yours?

Hi again,I have had a look on Ancestry at the 1901census and the Jane you have mentioned is there and also another one born in Dalry in app 1862, she is a visitor in a house called Lochinvar, Dalry, the parents are Henry Burnside and his wife Janet, so I assume Jane is Henry,s sister (they have 8 children)
Any connection?

Only me again, the Jane you mention was born in Garvald, Haddingtonshire, I have been doing a bit more digging and found she was born on 15 Dec 1859 and her parents were William Burnside and Margaret Smith, is this right? you might aready have this info,but it might ring a bell with someone out there.

Thanks for looking up Ancestry.
The Jane I am seeking was b1859 Garvald,E.Lothian.I have 1861/71/81/91 &1901 census details for her and her family,in E.Lothian.Jane was single according to all census details.I am currently trying to trace her death and hopefully from her death will discover if she married.
No connection to Henry Burnside.again your help is appreciated
