By 1851 she moved to London

on 1851 census

alice 22  servent    from brill


On 1871 Census
97 wigmore st  Marylebone

Charles B Smith Head
Alice 30  General Servent Brill

in 1872
She was married to James Thurgood

The certificate Lists her Father as JOSEPH Channer   a  wheelwright
On 1881 Census
11 Pembroke Rd Willesden

James Thurgood 36 Grocers Assist Middlesex
Alice 40                                                 Buckingham


the 1901 shows her back in Buckinghamshire

winslow bucks vicarage lane market square  workhouse

70  wid  inmate  general domestic servent    Brill



I was intersted to Find out more about her Father Joseph  the 1841 age Sems a Bit young to be her Father
   Did he die in Buckinghamshire ?
and did she Die in Buckinghamshire ?

Theres a death back in Willseden, Middlesex that would fit -

Alice Thurgood June 1914 Willesden 3a 230 age 83

(in 1891 she is in Hendon Union Workhouse, Middlesex, a widow, General Servant, age 61, born Bucks RG12/1050 Folio 144 Page Cool

thank i was thinking she might have been back in buckingshire ( 1901)  so had not rechecked London .


This seems to Fit with the  age census 1841


i am wondering if she was the daughter of elizabeth who seemed to be older than joseph on 1841 census
