I am looking for the Noon family from Bolton Lancs. William Noon, dob 15 April 1865, died Toronto Canada 15 May 1924, his wife, Mary Esther Latham, dob 15 April 1865, died Toronto Canada 27 December 1946, and finally his father Michael Noon (no other information) and his mother Bridgid or Bridget Oliphant (no other information). This is where the trail ends and I am trying to trace the family to the next generation. Regards Blake

I have some new information about the Noon family from Bolton Lancs. Bridget Oliphant is not the correct name of Michael 's wife, it is Bridget Elwood. This information comes from across the continent from Vancouver, British Columbia. Hope this helps in your search for Michael Noon and Bridget Elwood as a married couple from Bolton. Where did they come from? Blake

Brindle is quite interesting for religion. Church used to be St Helens (now St James) - site goes back 800 years to Uhtred!, obviously catholic until reformation but still half catholics afterwards in parish. I'm researching the workhouse and it was originally confiscated from catholic family Gerrards as used as a mass house - evidence of others as well. Assume you're aware of Lancashire Irish branch of Lancs Historical Society - they have their own room with lots of resources in Clayton le Moors.

I'm new at this,so bear with me. I need help looking up my ancestors. John Wright married Mary Ann Williams around 1846 in Manchester in a Catholic service, Maybe a St. Mary's Church, but not sure . John's parents were Frazer Wright and Mary Ann Roach, which I'm still not sure of their situation. Frazer was born in Scotland and married Mary Ann Roach OF England around the 1820's? But, the only Frazer people here have helped me locate married a Mary Ann Critchley. Not our Frazer, probably. Mary Ann Williams parents were John and Mary Ann. So, what do you think? Thanks, Bob, (Ribcage)

Sorry Bee_One,
The Catholic research I offered to help with is Brindle St Joseph's, Walton le Dale Our Lady & St Patrick's, St Mary's Brownedge Bamber Bridge, St Bede's Clayton Green and St Mary's Leyland. So no Liverpool I'm afraid. I changed my name a few months ago, if I can help with the above area I am now, paslwigr
