I am trying to trace Harry Acton Broadhurst, born in 1915, who emigrated from
England to Australia in 1949.  I believe that he settled in Brisbane.  I should like to find out if he married, had any children  and whether he is still alive.

Marriage index in Queensland on extends to 1929; births to 1914 and deaths to 1929 online but to 1968 on fiche.

Thanks for your reply.  I have already viewed two of the three files you mentioned.  There seems to be a restriction on the third one.   

Regarding the BMD indexes, as I do not live in Australia I am unable to get to look at the fiches and can only see electronic copies.

Thanks for the info.  Unfortunately there is no listing for H.A.Broadhurst. 

Could you tell me how I might access the electoral rolls for Queensland.

Hello,

Harry was my great uncle, and I regret to say that he passed away about six years ago.  I will ask my mother as she has more details.

Can I ask how you knew him?
