Hi Jo - according to GENUKI
http://www.ukbmd.org.uk/genuki/chs/sale.html
St John's on Brooklands Road (they refer to it as Baguley) which also covered part of Sale had a burial ground - it looks as though it has been grassed over when I've driven by.

After this there's plenty of grave yards in the surrounding areas - what sort of date are you looking? Manchester opened the crematorium at Southern Cemetery in the 1890s, so that may be a possibility

St Martin's MIs have been transcribed by one of the local history groups and are available in the Trafford Local Studies Library at Sale. The Ashton & Sale History Society have been researching people buried in the "old" part of Brooklands Cemetery & for the last two years have done "tours" as part of the Heritage Open Days in September. I'm not aware wherther they've published this research yet. Brooklands (officially Sale Cemetery) was one of the early municipal cemeteries & as such there are people from Manchester & other areas buried there before municipal cemeteries were opened in those areas.

If you need a search at Brooklands,  Trafford now charge, but here's the link

There's a plan of the cemetery on a notice board at the entrance.
