GOLDSTON[E] Chesham and Towcester
« on: Saturday 03 January 09 04:43 UTC (UK) »

The GOLDSTON family were based in Towcester, Northants, but one member of the family, Benjamin was for a time a cooper at Chesham, Bucks.

He married Rebecca KEENE there in 1717.
I have looked at microfilm of the Chesham register, they didn't bapt any children there, but 2 were buried in 1723 and 1727.And 3 others were probably born there.

Benjamin likely became ill because in 1729 he was removed from Chesham to Towcester. By 1734 he had died but I have not found a burial for him in either place.
The information about the removal order was from the Bucks Settlement Index.

Does anyone happen to be going to the record office in Aylesbury?
I would dearly like to know the details of the removal certificate or examination as I don't know when or where Benjamin was born. I know from a later will that Benjamin was related to the
Goldstons in Towcester, but I don't know how.

Does anyone have any knowledge of the Goldstons?

Marilyn
