Alfred came to Hinton Parva Wilts and married a RUTH there in 1873,he gives his Birthplace as Shellingford Berks, Calculation of his birth date is 1853.
Is anyone else looking into the Shellingford PILL,s my great Aunt Charlotte Laura Williams from South Marston Wilts married Alfred,s middle son THOMAS in 1907.
I am trying to put a little tree together for Thomas,s Granddaughter as a surprise, she lives in South America!! Allen.

 Thank you very much Sue, the 1853 Alfred is probably him, any sibling or a marriage would help tremendously,there is a researcher on" Ancestry"with a line on these Hinton Parva Pill,s same group but as yet no reply.
Looking at free BMD just now , Shellingford had a large Tribe mostly Reg,d at Faringdon.
The PR,s here 1815 on are still under lock and key! sad for Family Historians, the PCC have never relinquished them ,only 1540-1815 transcribed,there is a copy in this village somewhere,not found out yet where .

Parents marriage at Eaton Hastings??

There is a George and Mary PILL baptising children at Shellingford about this time as well.
Is John the John PYLL bapt at Shellingford Apr 7 1803, son of William and Jane. There are other children to William and Jane, some spelt PYLL and some spelt PILL, including a George PYLL bapt Feb 5 1809 at Shellingford, who married Mary SKINNER in 1830. Fits with the John PILL buried at Shellingford, Sep 2 1855 aged 53, 35-39 in 1841 at 48 in 1851.
