Mum, bless her!
|
I've just discovered a couple of hubby's forebears died in Hardingstone:
Elizabeth (Blount) WESTLEY d. 1877 and her husband William, who died the year before.
What would be the best way of checking where they might be buried?
Cheers!
Stoney

You should start with Northampton Record Office at Wootton Hall Park for the parish records of both St Edmunds and St Mary's, although I am not sure about the latter.

Remembering those care free days of childhood

Hi Stoney
Thanks for P.M.
I know they are not buried in Billing Road Cemetery which was suggested.
They are not in Hardingstone Parish Church Burials either.
Although we found them in 1871 census living in Roade I did not see them in the Church Records for there or Ashton.
I could have missed them though.
Glad that Norman Tews site was of use.
Linking the two topics so other information can be viewed here also.

Hi Melonhead.
Welcome to Rootschat.
May we confirm some information with you.
The William Westley with a son named Harry born in 1889/90 on the 1891 census RG12/1192 Hardingstone Page 18 seems to have married Harriett later than you think even though she is only 25.?
They are noted as having children aged 8, 7 and 1.
If this is the family then William originates from Piddington.

Hi Melonhead.
I do hope that you find some relatives on your photographs to the Westley Family Tree.
Also it was good that you visited the N.R.O.
Any further help, just ask as we are always here to assist.
