McAnulty - Drummully
« on: Tuesday 06 January 09 06:32 UTC (UK) »

Looking for any info on McAnultys living in Drummully in early 1800s.

John McAnulty came out to NZ as a Fencible in mid-1800s. In his enlistment papers he states that his place of birth was Drummully, Fermanagh and his occupation at the time of enlistment was weaver.

The same records also state that his father was Andrew McAnulty from Co. Cavan.

Have been unable to find any records for McAnulty's living in either area. Can anybody help? Undecided

Can't help with McAnultys but Drummmully is a parish in Fermanagh and there are also two townlands with the same name (one in Knockninny Parish and other in Coole Parish).

Thanks!

Didn't realise there were townlands with the same name. At least it's another avenue to explore.
