Would someone please have a look for a death or burial for George and Mary Muxworthy of Langridgeford Cottage, Yarnscomb? They were both born approx 1809. Haven't been able to confirm Mary's maiden name or death dates/burials.
They lived near other Muxworthy families in Yarnscomb. In the 1851 census George was working as an ag lab.
I appreciate any help with this. Cheers, Kate

Thanks for the marriage Mum 44, it may well be the same couple. I have been asked by a friend to find more information about her great grandmother. We too found them in 1851 and nothing after.
The family story is that their children Mary & John emigrated to Canada in about 1867 and that's all she knows.
I will pass the marriage info along. She'll be ordering the certificate ASAP and any other records we find. She is heading to Devon in April with hopes of finding the parish or perhaps a cemetery marker.
Thanks so much for taking the time to help out Kate

Kate - good mornng
The only one who I thought might be a possible in 1861 was a John. b. 1844 who was an apprentice shoe maker. Slightly wrong age, but not unusually so
There is a death registered for a George Muxworthy Q2. 1860 Torrington Vol. 5b. Pg. 358. This is possible - the other Georges in 1851 seem to be still there in 1861 Unless of course that is an infant (no ages at that time on index)
There are no death reg.s for Mary in Torrington at the time, but one in Barnstaple in 1884.
The dates they give on the 1851 census do match with baptisms on the IGI: George 18/12/1808 - father John (name of son) . Mary Ford a little more unsure - one in Burrington in 1810 and one in Yarnscombe in 18008.
Good luck - sorry I couldn't find more

Thanks Deb and Mum Sorry haven't replied earlier ... I've been away babysitting my grandson.
I'll pass all of your suggestions and info along. Nice find with the 1841 Deb, hoping the certs will confirm the parents.
Appreciate very much your time with this. Kate
