While checking up on my Great grandparents George Scott  and Christina McCrae born Laghy Donegal I discovered two of their Siblings with the same name George Born 20-11-1868 in Laghy and a George born  09-01-1880 in Aghadoey Donegal could the first one have died and they named the other after him a bit weird  Roll Eyes

It was quite common years ago in Ireland (and other countries) to use the same name for a child where the previous child with the name had died.

P.S. the two Georges are children of George and Christina, not siblings of theirs.
