4 generations of Prestidge, 1835-1985
1856 & 1858 Clonmel Births

Hi...

I am trying to find where to start in looking for births for a Caroline & Elizabeth McMinn.  According to English census's, they were born in Ireland, and I finally got a record, that states where: Clonmel (1911 census).

The father of Elizabeth was Alexander McMinn, and he was in the RA.

places to check for baptism/birth records..

many Catholic registers are available at the National Library in Dublin (www.nli.ie) - they have a list of available parish and dates on the website

LDS library - parish register films may be ordered to view at a local centre.

pay site of the Irish Family History Foundation at www.irish-roots.ie hold parish and other records.

Non-Catholic marriages from 1845 and all BMDs from 1864 can be obtained from the GRO - www.groireland.ie
