Hi
Does anyone know of the location of Ringcroft and Bridge End in the Twyholm area and Burnfoot in Kirkmabreck?
Thankyou

Hi Caroline
There is a Bridge End just outside Ringford shown on a very old map in the NLS collection.
Maps of Scotland
Name: Ainslie, John, 1745-1828
Title: The Stewartry of Kirkcudbright.
It would be situated in the space between the modernday A762 and the Tarff Water, just off the junction with the A75 at Ringford.
Burnfoot is also on this map (you have to select the other page of it) Right on the coast at Carsluith, at the bottom of the Kirkbride Burn.
I don't know about Ringcroft, unless it was one of the buildings in Ringford.
Hope this helps
Kirsty

Hi Caroline
This is one of the photos I took around Kirkbride burn - I think the building might be Burnfoot but not sure.
