Hi Berni,

I am visiting my mother today and I have shown her this photo on roots, unfortunately the image is a bit difficult to really see the face of this lady properly.
However, my mother says it could be Lily or Maggie Arnold who lived in Cullies, Arva. Mum says that Lily and Maggie visited the tailor shop many times, when she lived in Killeshandra.
Good luck with your research on this one.

Regards

Margaret

Hi Berni, My name is John Ryan from Arva.I came across one of your postings some time back regarding your grandparents . The man I understand to be an uncle of yours called Michael O'Shea and his wife Mary lived next door to me in Arva when he retired from his business in England. Unfortunately Michael died some years back and his wife went back to live in England. I might be able to gather some more information about your dad's family if you are still interested. Kind regards John

Hi Berni, I was talking to our local postman this morning and he is going to have a chat with one of his old pals and come back to me. I remember talking to Con Bouchier RIP (Drapers Main St.) some years ago and he remembers bringing suits down to your grandfathers shop for alteration. He said that your grandfather was a top class tailor. I got an email this morning to say that I had a personal message from you but the link would not open. my email is (*) . talk soon John
