I'm looking for parental information of Alexander McPherson who married Isabella (Isobel) Bruce.  Isobell's parents are Joseph Bruce and Jean Ord.  Any info will be appreciated.

Can you give us anymore info.
Do you have a copy of the marriage certificate of Alexander and Isabella, if so were does it say they were married.
If we can pin point a specific area  to work on then hopefully some kind rootschatters in that area can get to work on tracing the parents,

The International Genealogical Index.

these records have to be taken with a pinch of salt as they are only copies of the originals and there for up for human error.
I found a marriage of Alexander McPherson to Isobel Bruce on 17/07/1781.
Grange, Banff, Scotland.
Is this your couple,

Grange, Banff, Scotland.
Is this your couple,

To this couple I also found 6 children all born Grange,Banff Scotland.
These are the Christening dates.
Helen,       27/04/1793.
Alexander 29/06/1782
Jean         16/05/1790
John         06/05/1786
James       18/06/1788
Joseph     14/04/1784.

You probably have the above children already, If you can confirm that this is your family then it may help others to trace back the way,

Hi Tracy,
Glad we are on the right family.
In Scotland some families stuck to tradition in naming children.
I will post it once I find it again.
The first son was named after the grandfather, this may help you in the search.
What we need to do is open a new post  in Banffshire so we get the Rootschat foot solders in that area.
Just click on  Banffshire.
