Williamson & Campbell
« on: Monday 19 January 09 18:03 UTC (UK) »

Looking for some information on my G. Grandparents John Williamson & Mary Jane Campbell, GG. Grandparents Joseph Campbell & Sarah Woods and GGG Grandparents Allen Woods & spouse.

John was Presbyterian, (as was Mary Jane). He was born c1860/1 and married Mary Jane in Leckpatrick Presbyterian Church on 12/05/1885 residence as Artigarvan, his father was Robert. Mary Jane was born c1862, her father was Joseph (married to Sarah Woods). She lived at Desart at the time of her marriage to John.

1.  What was John's mother called and how many siblings did he have, who were they?
2.  Did Mary Jane's have other siblings besides Thomas 1869 & Fanny 1871?
3.  Sarah Woods' father was called Allen Woods, what was his wife's name?
4.  Did Sarah's have other siblings besides Eliza 1837 & Catherine 1841?

So many questions and gaps in the resources to get answers. Is there anybody out there that has any of these people already on their family tree and could share their information with me. I would be very grateful.

I'm afraid it may not be easy, or even possible, to get answers to all your questions for a variety of reasons.
Civil registration of births, deaths and Catholic marriages in Ireland started in 1864 (from 1845 for other marriages). For earlier dates you need to search for church records (if they exist). To do so you need to know the family's religion and where they lived. You are very fortunate to have the 1885 marriage to provide a starting point.
To answer question 2: IGI lists another sibling of Mary Jane (Margret born 1864) as well as Thomas (1869) and Fanny (1871) but there could certainly be others born before 1864 or after.
