BARNES Ross-on-Wye, Cheltenham
« on: Friday 23 January 09 15:07 GMT (UK) »

Looking for info on Isaac Robinson Barnes (b. 1890 approx) & family who moved to Cheltenham in late 1920s/early 30s, was a tailor at 45 High Street, Ross-on-Wye, Herefordshire before moving (1923 - 1928 approx.). Had sons, John Barnes, Richard Barnes, Geoffrey Barnes all born in 1920s. John died in WWII in RAF. One of the sons possibly became a doctor. Isaac's sons are brothers of my Grandmother. Isaac served in WWI and may originally be from Co. Tyrone, Ireland - this was the address of his next of kin, Margaret Barnes (mother), on service record: lived in Drumnaglough, Cookstown. His own address during WWI was given as Cambridge. Married Victoria Davey in Portsmouth in 1923. Please get in touch if you know anything. My contacts:
